Medical Weight Loss & GLP-1 Clinic in Arvada, CO

Most people who come to us have already tried. The gym membership, the app, the plan a friend swore by. If that’s where you are, the problem usually isn’t willpower. It’s that nobody looked at what’s actually going on underneath.

We’re a nurse practitioner led practice based in Arvada at Unit 207 12650 W 64th Ave. We treat weight as a medical issue, which means we look at your labs, your history, your hormones and your metabolism before we decide on anything. Then we stay with you while it works.

Semaglutide & Tirzepatide Weight Loss Injections for Arvada Patients

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are the two GLP-1 medications we prescribe most. They work differently from each other, and people respond differently to each, which is why the question isn’t “do you want one” but “which one fits you.”

These medications aren’t right for everyone, and we’ll tell you if we don’t think one is right for you. When they are a fit, here’s what you get from us:

  • A real evaluation before anything is prescribed, including labs
  • Dose titration managed by a provider, not a protocol
  • Honest guidance on side effects, including what’s normal and what isn’t
  • Protein and nutrition support, because losing muscle along with fat is the thing people regret later
  • A plan for what happens when you taper or stop

That last one matters more than most clinics admit. Getting weight off is the first part. Keeping it off is the part nobody talks about until you’re already there.

Personalized Medical Weight Loss & Hormone Therapy

Weight and hormones are connected more often than people are told. If you’re in perimenopause and the same habits stopped working, that’s not in your head. If your testosterone is low, it affects body composition, energy and how you respond to treatment.

So we look at the whole picture. Insulin resistance, PCOS, thyroid, perimenopause and menopause, low testosterone. If something there is driving the number on the scale, treating the weight alone won’t hold.

For women, that may mean hormone replacement therapy alongside or instead of a GLP-1. Our NP Heidi Harris is Menopause Society Certified, so menopause care here is a specialty, not an afterthought. For men, we evaluate and treat low testosterone with lab work and real follow-up.

Convenient Telemedicine & In-Person Options for Arvada

Visits are telehealth, so you’re not driving across town and sitting in a waiting room to talk for fifteen minutes. If you’d rather be seen in person, our Arvada office is at 12650 W 64th Ave, Unit 207.

We also work with your insurance. We’re in network with Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna and First Health, with Humana, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, Tricare West and MultiPlan / PHCS in credentialing. And we do the prior authorizations and appeals ourselves, which is tedious work most clinics won’t touch. Check what your plan covers.

Support For Lasting Metabolic Health

What makes this different from an app that mails you a prescription is that you get a provider who knows your history and who you can reach when something comes up at week six.

If you want to talk through whether this makes sense for you, book a free consult or call or text us at (720) 340-8154. No pressure either way. We’d rather tell you honestly whether we can help than sign you up for something that isn’t right.

FAQs About Medical Weight Loss Arvada Care

What is a medical weight loss program?

It’s weight treatment run by a clinician instead of a diet plan. For us that means lab work, a medical evaluation, prescription medication when it’s appropriate, and regular follow-up with the same provider. We’re treating the metabolic reasons behind the weight, not just the weight.

Are semaglutide and tirzepatide the same medication?

No. They’re different drugs that work through different mechanisms. Tirzepatide acts on two hormone receptors where semaglutide acts on one. Which one we recommend depends on your history, your labs, your other conditions and what your insurance will actually approve.

Can GLP-1 medications help with insulin resistance or PCOS?

Often, yes. Both conditions involve how your body handles insulin, and GLP-1s work directly on that. If you have PCOS or your labs show insulin resistance, that usually makes you a stronger candidate, not a weaker one. We’d want to see your labs first.

Do I need to come to the office for appointments?

No. Visits are telehealth and most of our Arvada patients never come in. If you prefer in person, or you need labs drawn, we’ll arrange it.

What makes Weight Loss NP different from a standard diet program?

A diet program gives you rules. We prescribe and manage medication, run labs, treat the hormonal and metabolic pieces, and adjust as you go. You see the same provider every time, and that provider knows your file. When something isn’t working, we change it.
